January 2015 has barely begun and, already, I’m checking the calendar to see how many days remain until Spring. (The answer is 75, if you are wondering).
Maybe it has something to do with all the rain we’ve been getting this week:
My perennials can’t wait until Spring either!
Or maybe it is because I’ve continued harvesting Bell Peppers from my front-yard garden:
Either way, I am ready for warmer weather.
In the meantime, I am keeping warm with a new tea:
Containing cinnamon, sarsaparilla, hazelnut and carob flavors, it’s quite delicious and soothing.
I really like how each tea bag bears an inspirational message.
Speaking of cinnamon, I have been putting it in everything, including my Greek yogurt like I did today:
Have you seen my favorite Christmas present of the season?
This gift is from my Mom and it means a lot for two reasons:
1.) Obviously, the figurine is a gardener.
2.) My mom is typically a practical gifter, so the fact that this one is sentimental tugs at my heart.
In other news, I went for a 10-miler today and zoned-out completely, dreaming of my Spring-Time planting.
I whacked my fist on a metal post as I ran by:
The bruise between my knuckles is quite faint in this picture, but it hurts like the dickens.
If you know me at all, you know that I am very accident-prone when it comes to running or bicycling, so today’s incident comes as no surprise. This is precisely why I do not participate in sports that require hand-eye coordination.
*Note the scarred condition of my knuckles resulting from previous tumbles and accidents.
Are you anxious for Spring-time where you live or are you still reveling in the Winter season?
What was your favorite gift this Christmas?
